It's not just a headache–it could be Chronic Migraine

If you experience 15 or more headaches and migraine days per month, each lasting at least 4 hours, it may indicate a chronic disease. It’s important to talk to your doctor or specialist about a diagnosis.

How Chronic Migraine is different

Migraine and Chronic Migraine are different. As headaches and migraines become more frequent, they may meet the criteria for Chronic Migraine, and in some cases, may call for a preventive treatment plan.

If the symptoms below sound familiar, talking with a specialist and getting a diagnosis can help clarify next steps.

Chronic Migraine
Headache Day Frequency
15+ days per month with at least 8 days associated with migraine
Headache Duration (average)

Potential Triggers
Stress, changes in sleep or routine, and dehydration are just a few triggers that may lead to a headache or migraine attack
Treatment Approach
Often managed with acute and preventive treatments
